The Stow-Munroe Falls Lions recently concluded our Safety Bucket project for the Stow Munroe Falls Schools. On Friday October 25th, the Lions and many members of the community came together to pack and deliver over 400 safety bucketes to each of our schools.
Over the past few months, the club received a large number of contributions to "Adopt a Classroom" of $25 each, while some donors chose to adopt several classrooms to support this unique project. The donations helped to purchase the necessary items for the buckets.
Denise Tonelli, project chairperson added she hopes that buckets will never be needed, but feels more at ease knowing that they are available for the students' and teachers' safety.
"In these turbulent times that we go through with the schools -- and we have just had some the past few days across the country-- it is just a measure that we have provided them in the event of an emergency until the first responders can get there."
The Stow Munroe Falls Lions would like to thank everyone that participated in this very important project.
